Post Electric windows

I have just brought a second hand S40 1.8i SE on an Sreg and I have been told that the windows will shut when the car is locked after a certin time if they are left open. Is this correct, as it doesnt appear to happean. Also it has crusie control and the person said they never used it, so doesnt know if it works. Will anything bad happean if I try it out when driving down the road?? as Iam not sure what to expect.
Thanks

Auto close windows? don't know TBH not heard of it.

Cruise control - well give it a go poodle at a steady pace click the set button and you should stay at that speed. The cruise should disengage when you either:

1) Switch it off!!
2) depress the clutch
3) press the brake pedal

Do it on a quiet bit of road if you're unsure.

If it doesn't do either of the 1-3 above, it isn't working right - in which case flash your lights, blast your horn, and steer around the oncoming traffic as best you can!! Ha ha - Only joking!

Never heard of Volvo's having this feature, VAG's do to a point, in that holding the fob will close the windows and lock the car/arm alarm/deadlock.
But never heard a Volvo do it. I've just tried with my S40 but doesnt seem to do anything, either key in lock or off fob. There might be a map or OBDII code that cna make it happen but I aint sure.

Oh and LOL at MadHouse "If it doesn't do either of the 1-3 above, it isn't working right - in which case flash your lights, blast your horn, and steer around the oncoming traffic as best you can!! Ha ha - Only joking!" Made me chuckly!
