son just bought one for his newbie Joie i-spin 360, does from 1-4 years or wieght/size spins so you can put baby/toddler in the seat and spin him/her backcan face rearwards till at least 15 months then face forward just by spinning it round or leave facing rearward. thinkg about one for us as we have him some weekends or during the week makes easy for us to pick him up or return him.

I baught a Recaro generation seat when we became grandparents, grew with the children by removing inserts and adjusting the belt position. Won't do newborn but from 3 or 4 months up now the youngest grandchild is in school we have a pair of Graco high-backed booster seats.
Have to say, manufacturers spend millions developing comfortable car seats , then we stick our kids on a block of hard plastic with a quarter of an inch of cheap foam over it and wonder why they grizzle after an hour. Try sitting on a moving church pew for an hour and see how comfortable your bum feels. The man who makes a comfortable kids car seat is set to make millions.. Paul. |

A good way to do research on this is to take out the Which £1 trial and look at their review. We went for Kiddy, a brand I'd never heard of, but which got very encouraging test results & reviews, and which grew with them over a number of years.
The 'best' seat is the safest one that fits the best, and allows for growth, as opposed to the more expansively-padded ones that look comfy was the conclusion we came to. |
