VIDA installation HELLLLLPPPP

Good morning all

Apologies I've been quiet, I was a member previously.

I have just acquired a 2003 XC70, and like many it is suffering with AntiSkid message.

I've bought myself a DICE unit, but unfortunately the VIDA discs that came with it don't work with my laptop.

I've tried downloading,and following instructions, but after several days, failed to get VIDA working.

Can anyone help me install, ideally locally to me (Selby, west Yorks).

I have a Toshiba Dual core 2.2G laptop with 8GB RAM, 650GB hardrive and Windows 7 ultimate, with IE explorer 10 (was 11 but understand that doesnt work with VIDA) on it.

Need to work out whats going on with Antiskid, as MOT due in a couple of weeks......

Hopefully you'll get sorted quickly but if you have no joy locally, I can control your laptop and install Vida remotely for £30.
The above cost is for a guaranteed installation of Vida 2014d regardless of how long it takes me.

I cannot vouch for whether your Dice will subsequently work though as it isn't one of the guaranteed working Dice which I supply.

Hi, given the amount of time if wasted on it, I'd be happy to go with that plan, if you could do this eve (ideally).

I have managed to connect my DICE to my laptop and got it to recognise it, obviously not done anything with live comms on the car though.
When I plug the DICE into car I get the coloured flashing lights as I should.

Just to close this problem.
It took a few hours due to a previous corrupt Vida installation needing to be removed and my new files to be downloaded but I got Mark's laptop set up remotely and Vida 2014d is now running reliably and stable.

Vida 2014d is freely available and can be pretty easy to install so I'd advise everyone to try to do it themselves for free first.
Vida is notoriously tricky to troubleshoot though if something doesn't work how it's expected to as happened in this thread.

What I offer is a guarantee to make it work for you so if you haven't bought Dice from me and want this service, just let me know.

You did indeed, and thanks for all your assistance, really appreciated as it wasn't a quick fix.

Dice now refuses to connect

Anyone local to Selby got one I can try and a laptop to reverse test mine on
