244 GLE advice
Hi,
I'm a new member and have a 1980 244 GLE Thor which I'm restoring to its original glory. I really would appreciate any help and advice on the following items; Firstly I'm having difficulty with the Vin number, when I'm ordering parts the dealer/auto factor insist it should have 17 digits, mine only has the following 14 digits including the asterisks *2444A1522404*. Which Volvo radio or radio cassette would have been fitted? On the sunburst wheels it looks as if the insides of the spokes were painted a very pale green? Would the spare wheel in the boot have had a carpeted cover? On the dash the 20 wide trim that runs below the glove compartment and the width of the dash has faded and doesn't look as if was originally black like the rest of the dash?. Thanks |

volvo wheels were always silver or black ,no green ... This was the standard thing to have in 1980 , it's not worth more than £10 though ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLVO-240-...UAAOSwc-tY125h
