Hi ya,

If you let the service people do it its every 10/12k miles. I change mine every three months if I do alot of driving and if it’s been a bad Hayfever season. They soon get black and dirty. I also clean mine out, give it a good bang against a wall to get the debris that falls in. You should definitely change if you get a bad smell :-(

Where can I get a pollen filter holder at a reasonable price? I know that Europarts do the filters but not the holders.
I don't want to go to the main dealer if I can help it.

Cheers

Hi ya,

I know what you mean I was enquiring about the charcoal/pollen filter and it was over £42. Anyway unfortunately you need to go to the dealer unless you can get to a breaker.

One word of warning I had the early design upto about MY96, and had to cough up again for the replacement holder, which is also used on the s70/v70. The actually manufacture of the filter is Bosch if you have a service shop near you.

Hope this helps,

Mark.
