Default S60 Rear Window Demister Wires Peeling Off

Hi all. I noticed at the weekend the rear window isn't demisting properly and on inspection there are some wires that have fallen off the glass and are resting on the boot shelf. I haven't touched this at all and don't have kids who could have done - how would this happen and can it be repaired cost-effectively? Hope someone will know...thanks

I have never seen or heard of that before since heater rear window elements like this were introduced in the 1970's . The only cure is a new glass . Are you sure it is not a stick on element someone has put on for some reason?

HI, This used to happen years ago and is easily fixed.

You do not need new glass!

Type in "rear window defogger repair kit" or similar into Amazon.

Thanks both. I think I'd have a nervous breakdown if it needed new glass...

This after being told the house needs fully replumbing and will cost thousands
