Default Belt squeak

Hi
A short time ago i replaced the timing belt on my 850, doing everything by the book i used dealer parts replacing jockey wheel and tensioner for good measure. When building the car back up i noticed the serpentine belt was a bit worn so replaced this too with a spare that came with the car, now when the engine warms up it starts to squeak.

I tried a little experiment by applying a small amount of grease to the back of the serpentine belt while engine was running and the squeak stops for a short while then starts again. On closer inspection i have noticed that the belt seems to run slightly over the inside edge of the tensioner and idler pulley putting a slight groove in the belt.

Can the pulleys be adjusted or is the belt too wide? it seems to sit on the other pulley's just fine.

The squeak is starting to drive me nuts! can somebody please help?

Many thanks
Mark

Wouldn't suggest you apply WD40 etc, I think this need proper investigation to ascertain the root cause. It could be a bearing, but I think that it would be a fools errand to spray the belt...
