2003 V70 D5 battery
Hi all,
I intend buying a 353mm long Varta silver battery for my 2003 V70 D5. Although the Varta website lists this battery for my car, can anyone confirm this actually fits in their gen 2 V70/D5? The reason I ask is because my current (Volvo) battery seems slightly smaller - mine looks to be 345mm wide (and there is virtually no wiggle room) - although without disconnecting/removing it, it's hard to measure it accurately. for info I'm looking at: https://www.varta-automotive.com/en-...ic/600-402-083 Thanks |

Read This and then tell me he is not selling.
Bosch Battery for V70 i bought this battery in February from Euro Car Parts whilst diagnosing a starting issue with my V70. It turned out to be something else altogether so it has sat on a shelf in my garage since then taking up valuable space. Unused/as new condition. Bought for a 2003 V70 D5, I assume it's also compatible with S60 and S80 of similar vintage, and quite possibly newer and older variants too. I still have the receipt, it's guaranteed for 4 years. See the current listing for it here https://photos.app.goo.gl/VBKRIu5rCjNA56Nv2 https://photos.app.goo.gl/rLOP0xpRWXzb3net1 Sensible offers - I need the space. That is what i was pointing out.

Crikey, that Bosch battery is £199 at ECP. For that sort of budget you could buy the correct Volvo part from a main dealer (having asked for the usual owners club 10% discount), have a massive night out on the town & still have enough left over for kebab & taxi home
