i got a d5 manual i get about 44mpg to 46mpg thats town and some rural driving

I have a 2006 S40 T5 and do 250 miles a week. I average 31 MPG

Getting only mid 30's as I am only doing shorter journeys (150 miles a week), so most of its time running on "choke".
Also, now I travel a different route to work i keep meeting a TDI Golf so end up flat shifting through the gears etc.
A downside of this looks to be front tyre wear, just over 8000 miles of the last pair of fronts!!

All in all I am not the model of economy driving. I don't waste fuel though, as I enjoy every single gallon.
