Lightbulb S60 2004 Rear Light cluster question

My top right 'parking light' keeps blowing around every three months but when it last blew, a light which is never used began illuminating permanently. In the manual it's marked as a side marker light which shines white from the rear and red from the side.

I am at a loss why it did this and have since removed the bulb as it could confuse other road users. No warning messages have appeared thankfully!

Can anyone shed some light on this please? Excuse the pun

can you post a picture? the S60 is not known to have issues with the rear lights wiring, one cause for burning bulbs would be the bulb wattage being different than the recommended one
