Default Dedicated wiring for s60

Hi,

I have got a dedicated single electrics wiring kit for my s60 and it includes 2 fuses and a relay, however it says that there is a requirement for VARDIS for the fog lights in the instructions??

What will happen if i dont do this and fit the fuses and relay??

Thanks

You may well find the fuses and relay already there ....
The fog light application just turns off the cars foglight when the caravan is plugged in to prevent glare reflecting off the caravan back to you ..

When I did the towbar wiring on my S60 I never bothered getting the dealer to do the Software upgrade. As mentioned already it works perfectly apart from thr rear fog lamp issue.

I dont suppose it will be very often you tow your caravan in very foggy conditions but if it was mine i'd pay the small fee for the car to work properly :-)
