Default v70 towing electricts

hi i have a 2002 v70 d5 and ive fitted a towbar and 7 pin electrits geunie plug in and play from local dealer i reg tow small trailer with 7 pin plug and i sometimes tow my fathers caravan one of these new ones with 13 pin plug i have adaptor plugs i use it, baslicaly im wondering if i can put a 13 pin socket along side the 7 pin socket and have both plugged into car at same time as theres another multyplug in boot nxt to spare wheel ? what is the multy plug for

just buy the adaptor and leave the electrics alone. i would think it damn akward to fit the two side by side, may throw up all sorts of problems. the best man to talk to is mike alder.

I agree with Lyron, just use the adapter and leave your electrics alone. By using the adapter, you will have all the lights required and be missing only the power to the fridge and reversing lights (if the caravan has them). I caravanned for years just using the 7n socket and never missed having the fridge, and even today rarely bother using the full adapter with my 13 pin socket, I just use the black plug in a 13/7 adapter and tie the white plug out of the way.

Likewise. I pre-cool on the drive using mains, and dump frozen food in on the start of journey. Something is always useable on arrival.
