Wheels arrived and very please with them, slight problem as my car is 1966 you cannot fit the wheel centres.you have to

a) machine the hub.

b) machine the wheel centre

c) fit new grease caps and either silver them or have them chromed.

Post 67 cars are fine as the hubs are modified.

I am fitting new discs and have just rung the garage doing the work to see if they are smaller as per the post 67 car and they think the measure a little smaller so I will have to offer the wheels to the replacement discs and hubs.
Brookhouse no longer have the original volvo hubs and offered me replicas at a fraction of the cost. They do look the part but again are in the process of being fitted.

Hi,
Yup, centres don't fit - never bothered me though!
Mine was a 1969 model!

Would this fitment problem also apply to P1800?

More details of this problem is needed. Pictures would be good showing the differences in the hubs. Is this problem with both front and rear hubs? Last thing you want is to have to take all of the hubs plus the wheels into a machine shop and get another bill for maybe half the price of the wheels!
JBE should be able to supply correctly machined wheels in the first place!
The Brookhouse Minilight type are £410 and appear to fit all hubs so for £25 more that seems a no brainer. They also have Volvo caps and nuts.

On my '66 P1800, the JBW centre caps fit ok at the back but not at the front. I therefore went and bought a new pair of grease caps for the from wheels to tidy things up.
