Default widows drop 2cm when opening doors ?

Hi, I've recently purchased a c70 d5 sport 08 138,000 miles. It drives really well and what a fantastic engine. I have 2 issues (and a few minor problems, but I can sort them). When I open the doors the windows drop about 2cm and do not go up when I close the doors, also, although the roof works very well, very little creaks and groans, as I've heard from other roof mechs I've looked at, the windows drop and raise at the beginning and end of the cycle, but there is no bong at the end of the cycle, if you press the button again it come up as roof closed (or open) on the dash screen. Could this be a roof control module fault causing both problems and would a re calibration resolve this. Does a roof calibration have to be done at a dealer ? I can live with it as it is but a remedy would be good.

It could be as simple as the limits needing set on the front windows or it could be a fault with either the roof control or the multitude of hall sensors in the roof.

To try the window limits, get in the car, lower the windows, raise them until they are full up, release the switches and then lift and hold both electric window switches for 5-10 seconds then release. See if that makes any difference.

Yes I just seen that on another thread, problem solved. I know open door, window drops, close door window closes. I recently changed the battery, apparently that can cause the window problem. Thanks guys

My brother’s Mini does it, no door frame , it allows the door to open and shut!

Might be the same thing.
