Default High beam assist

Guys bit of a strange one.
Had the car in just for a check as I thought the pilot assist was tracking too far to the left. They checked and said it was fine and was due to the camber on UK roads. Anyway when it was in they updated the software. Ever since then the high beam assist has indicating always on, and at night was functioning without me needing to flick the switch to high beam assist. I was pretty happy due to my lazyness lol. Tonight however after functioning perfectly for the past 4 weeks it's reverted back to usual dipped green indication, and assist only comes on when I flick the switch. Any ideas? 🤷*♂️

On the end of the left hand stalk there's a rotary knob. Twist it anticlockwise? This should turn autodip on. Note, if, in the course of driving you opt to select either dip or main beam manually the autodip will be cancelled and you'll have to twist the knob again . On my V90 you have to set the autodip àt the start of each journey. As for the PA tracki g to the left because of road camber... rubbish . Mine tracked to the left even in the outside lane of a motorway when the camber would be to the right. It took a couple of trips to a dealer before I felt more comfortable with it. No evidence but I suspect it tends to the left because the software was designed for left hand drive

Thanks I might try again if it becomes annoying (the pilot assist tracking)
Maybe I didn't explain too well ref the high beam assist.
I'm aware of the option to select it on the stalk, which as you say I'd need to select each journey, but since the software update the highbeam assist has remained on even though the stalk wasnt in the high beam assist position, so for several weeks when driving at night the assist would function despite it never being selected. This was a nice bonus lol, and now it's reverted back to having to select it on the stalk. I'm a bit puzzled by this 🤷*♂️

This is what I was trying to explain.

You can see the high beam assist is on but it wasn't selected on the stalk. Stalk position in auto light setting🤷*♂️

I would love to be able to have this feature on without me having to activate it.

I always turn it on when driving in the dark (apart from when I forget)

I got my car in November 19 so it should have the latest update, I am guessing that it maybe is a glitch in the Matrix on your car that allowed it to be active all the time?

Yeah I'm really puzzled as my V90 R design is April 2019 and it's only since the software update that it's done this, so I was thinking is this intentional?

It's great that it stays on, that's why I was a bit gutted when it went off the other night lol 🤷*♂️

You gotta love glitches. Once my auto pilot worked for an hour without my having to apply any hands on the wheel. Then never again.

You've got a placebo effect going on there, the dealers cannot adjust the positioning of the PA system and where it places the car on the road!

I have a XC60 T5 MY20 delivered late September and I was annoyed that I had to turn on the high beam assist every time I started the car. For a couple of weeks ago I had the car services and I also got the November update installed. After that update I do no longer need to active it as the setting is saved. I really hope that it's not a glitch in the Matrix!

I think that the update came late November, website updated 27/11/2019, so maybe you do not have it...

I

In which case there's a couple of people who took it.
The first time they looked at it they said they had done omething but if not satisfied take it back as they had other things they could do. I raised it again at a later date and they claim to have done more things and I think it improved. At no stage was I told it was non adjustable. Equally I have never seen any Volvo sourced statement that it was non adjustable.
