Does anyone else have the muscle car urge, I nearly scratched mine a few times in the 1980's but one thing or another always meant another Cortina instead.

Aside from the usual suspects I quite like the look of the Dodge Super Bee as it looks like an unfettered Charger and the twin lights appeal more than the hideaways.

If your Thing is straight-line only & you can protect it against rust, then yep ... as long as it's not gonna cost you too much of course.

If I went that way today I think it would be one of the retro releases of the last 15 years but it would probably have an LSi rather than a Hemi in it, the days of laying under a car are over for me so any resto job I might consider will only get as far as a dust pan & brush, to think back to the days when I'd be under a car with the box supported at one end using my lift it and lower it knees all while the car was wobbling around on a solo trolley jack from the local parts shop or tugging and suspending a lump by a rope around an old garage roof joist made of 4x2 from 50 years earlier.

Disclaimer...Don't try any of the above at home, SnineT isn't a broker for the ambulance or building services.

Yes, I've hankered after a 60's yank for years but have never been brave (rich) enough to get one. Prices have rocketed over the last 5 years or so, and nice ones are now serious money.

But if I won the lottery, I'm sure there'd be a classic yank V8 in the (large) barn Along with a few classic Maseratis and Mercedes, but thats another story

That's another brand I always like the styling of, Maserati, although now owned by Fiat iirc it still retained a look about it, I think the badge helps along with the exclusivity it has due to most people in that league always plum for a Merc or something more exotic like a Ferrari, Porsche.
