Default "Broken headlight"

Simon,

Is it the whole light unit that rocks or just the silver reflector inside?

Last winter I took the headlights off my V70 mk.1 to clean the reflectors (well worth it) and upon unclipping the lens glass noticed that one was loose. All I needed to do was push it back - there's a plastic pin on the back as part of the moulding. This sits in a sort of rubber cup and it just kind of sits in there! No screws or anything!! Could this be part of the beam adjuster?

Upon reassembly I had to realign the beam 'cos it was pointing way too high.

Of course all this assumes that the 850 headlight is basically the same.

Is this any help?

Cheers,
Steve
