Well that's the T4 finished with it's maiden voyages, from beccles to Milton Keynes and back on Friday, then up to Liverpool for nye, got home around half an hour, and frankly I'm just astonished on how good it is on fuel, now I can't be really exact as im not 100 percent sure how accurate the trip details are, and I have been driving pretty gingerly as the weather has been terrible, but after filling it up with v power, once I reached Norwich tonight I'd done 445 miles, with a range of 60 miles showing on the trip and the gauge was a hairs breadth above the top of the red, I'm unsure exactly how much is left once you hit the red, 10l seems to be in my mind, and the tank holds 60l, so if that is correct then 445 miles out of 50 litres amounts to 40 mpg, even of the red means 5l left that's still impressive at 36 mpg, both figures are better than my old non turbo 2l anyway, astronomically good.

Are you sure it holds 60L? I've only been able to squeeze 52 into our's. Does the T4 have a bigger tank?

Of this I can't be certain, but if it is smaller then that would mean I've used even less fuel than stated so taking the mpg higher still.

Well, that's the thing, isn't it. You now have a choice between performance or efficiency. Wish I had a T4. You sound really happy with it.

yes, the fuse is ok, and the heater kinda works, it's like slow to respond to some commands, when you change the airflow, some times is immediatly, others it take it's time.

I think that are the motors that controls the airflow and the heater matrix.

I've filled 56L and the car still was working fine (no issues while turning), but it is not a good idea to run so low on gas. After I go down 40km of range it justs shows dashes --- hahaha

I've got both with the t4, I barely manage to average 35 with the orange one, although I guess it did have to work a lot harder all the time being a good few horse power behind but the same weight.

That consumption is about right. My old P1 averaged 31mpg at an average 33mph over 300,000mls. My P2 is averaging 33mpg at an average 33mph. Both measured by the on-board computer and both 2.0lt non turbo.

The tank capacity is stated at 60 litres although once when my local garage was shut and road works necessitated a long unplanned diversion to another garage, I did actually put in 63 litres - so it must have been running on vapour for quite some time

Yeah I am pretty shocked as it's a t4, although I was driving like a little old lady as the weather was shocking.

Makes you wonder how accurate petrol pumps are. I know they need to be calibrated. But is the boss out there with a screwdriver the day after calibration?

I recently filled up a 5L can with more than 6L of petrol. Very suspicious.
