They are not the correct OEM wipers for the V40 in Germany, just the V50 (Not sure about the S40), so work best with new arms. I tried one and got a refund fairly quickly, so only use standard wipers until some good chap confirms a matching Aero blade in single boxes.

SWF (Valeo Frogs) standard wipers (With drivers spoiler) on the front. Rear door spoiler and Bosch on the rear works real well. The rear spolier only helps above about 100 kmph roughly, so no use around town. Does look cool though!

Tree sap season has started early this year, so I'm sniffing around for a rear wiper already after it snapped the clip (I've got a SWF on the rear with a bust clip from finger trouble).

I paid about £17 for my wipers from my local Volvo dealer. I thought at that price it's probably as expensive as non original items. I've found that wipers and exhausts are never like the genuine OEM items. I just don't know why. Not even the very best aftermarket brands. They just never seem to be able to get it right.

I buy the cheapest I can find as I rip them on frost all the time - £2-3odd AP-racing aero blade ones. They seem alright to me, they do a bit of a funny thing where the centre of the passenger blade lifts off the screen at the top vertical point and leaves a patch in the middle of the screen, but the downstroke clears it when the blades return.

I went to gatos' today to fix my leaky power steering hose, but when I got there and took the engine cover off, it had stopped leaking. Happy days, always good when a fault fixes itself. Instead we did a bit of surgery on Climate Control modules and fitted heated seat buttons/PCB to mine, compared wiper blades , generally kicked tyres and plugged my car into VIDA - no faults except for possible dodgy glow plugs, but the engine starts fine when it's 0C so - hurray! A good mechanic day.

I know exactly what you mean, mate.

An original exhaust lasts for maybe 10 years, then the one you fit at one of the 'specialists' lasts for three, before it starts to dissolve.

Nothing if the man from Skandix (The most interesting boxes in the world sometimes?) does not arrive defore departure time!

He's got my new plastic end caps and filters. This is real funny, so just suffer the cat food ad first:

Refreshed the wheel center caps with some of Dave Barton's Volvo stickers, installed Volvo mudflaps annnd 20% tint on the windows.

...then reinstalled my son's car-seat.

Good, got my parcel. So I might be doing end caps this evening and posting the bust ones off to Mr Gary Sudds & Steven Phillipson of the Coffecream gang in Brighton tomorrow. Not such a nice pair of boys (Series of abusive messages through Fleabay UK). Fleabay say I can charge for postage and will get a full refund!

One more go with the WD40 (Don't try that at home etc, as it's real bad for caliper seals), alloy wheel cleaner and K roll later, once I figure out what
10Nm feels like in non torque wrench terms for my roof rail mounting bolts.

Funny, my original Saxo exhaust fell off after 4 years and the replacement was still going strong and looking perfect another 4 years later, and that was fitted in 3 parts, including a new manifold pipe, and a repair after I grounded it once.

What that says about Citroen I'm not sure

Took her to Staines and back for her fortnightly jaunt. This time came back via Watford in a failed attempt to buy a HU1205, and met another nice chap with a V40, learned something new about H7 SMDs. I'll be finding out more and at £2.60 a time, I will definitely try them out...

His 2.0T has a revs flutter at 4k rpm, boot it and it clears.... we laughed together for a moment about the myriad possible causes of both our random revs issues as it clearly doesn't bother either of us that much because we own a V40 and it's awesome
