Voted 'yes,' and this is from someone coming from the left side of the Atlantic.

Load and force calculations are a lot easier to deal with in metric. Also I don't like having to remember teaspoon/tablespoon/cup/fluid oz conversions when I cook. Of course American requires conversion for Imperial, and both for Metric so recipes can become confusing even without taking into account that Metric recipes measure ingredients by weight.

Shouldn't that be lsd, in all honesty the empire is one thing but the country is what you make it, we should start voting for people with reliable hair cuts.

Imperial roads are one of our few traditions that should be upheld to the last.

All this is driving me to drink
I fancy a pint. Chased with 1/6th gill for starters, make that a double.
Breakfast tea of course, did you think I was on the booze at 8 am GMT ?
World time follows us, quite rightly.

that chart at the start missed lots of measuers off, is it an American dumbed-down version ?

I think that you mm not mil - a mil is a 1/6400 part of a circle

It actually equals the angle created by 1 metre at a distance of 1000 metres

Surely it's part of a holiday experience for people in Europe to come somewhere that is different, like Wales all the road signs are in both Celtic welsh and English I like that personally and you are learning a language that is historically important and it's amazing how quick you pick it up and remember it. But it's the experiance of going into Wales to me good on them doesn't offend me as a English guy. Too me it's part of my British culture same as the Cornish and Scottish languages.

Could be worse in mandarin or erdu.
