850 T5 fuel pump fuse keeps blowing
My 850 T5 wouldn't start last night - fuel was ok so I having had three different cars with fuel pump relay problems I checked the fuel pump fuse to start with - fuse blown and replaced. Car then started fine but after about 10 seconds the fuse blew again. This happened a second time. With the ignition on and inserting a fuse the fuel pump runs for a second or two and then switches off - expected behaviour. Is it likely the problem lies with the relay or could it a short somewhere. Anyone any ideas?

RE: 850 T5 fuel pump fuse keeps blowing
Hi ya,
Having read noticeboard for a long time on our type this problem doesn't seem regular. I would say from my opionion that you could have a short causing the failure, then check the fuel pump and regulator are good. Are you suffering any other electrical problems? You could as you say buy yourself a new relay and cross your fingers that you don't blow that either but shorts are the first to checkout. At the sametime are you getting any error codes or an engine check light on the fuel system ? mark.
