Default What price diesel injectors?

Whilst having an electical fault checked out at a main dealer their diagnostics brought up that the injectors were leaking. I took the car away for a second opinion (despite the fire risk mentioned by the main dealer) to my regular independent garage and they agreed with the Volvo dealership findings. The independent stated that each injector cost in the region of £400 a pop. They've since mentioned about having the injectors reconditioned for £100 each. Does anybody have any thoughts on this? It's an S40 2006 2.0D one month out of approved used warranty. Grateful for your advice !

how can all 4 injectors leak at the same time? Pretty impossible really ... Also diagnoistics dont bring up leaks , that would be pretty obvious by using their eyes and nose ... something fishy there .. have the injectors been out? if so new pipes must be fitted because they can leak at the unions if re used .

The 2.0d is essentially the same engine as the 2.0hdi found in Peugeots. Assuming the injectors are the same, Bosch, then from Peugeot they cost me £204 a piece for my 307. I don't know that they are the same but surely it's worth checking out for half the price.
