Amazon, chopped and sectioned
I recently bought a Volvo Amazon......for the third time !!! First time in 1982, second in 2002, and now again in 2016. The car is seriously chopped and sectioned, thos work was done back in 1981, 35 years ago. It was shown on a car show in 1982, and one in 1983, and then it almost disappeared. I bought it back in 2002, painted it again, sold it, and gone again. Well, I am older now, and I will cling to this car now, and try to make right some issues with the windows, and the electrics. Nothing serious really, but details make the icing of the cake. The car is sectioned 4 inches, so is the roof, so it is quite low, drives like a go kart, great fun !! The height is 112 cm. about the same as the Lotus Esprit. Would be good, with some feedbacks, I think it is one of the lowest Amazons around......

Roarr, I think the yellow chop is one of best looking ones that I have seen on the web! I'm really surprised it is that much of a chop! Did you help with chop? I'm currently getting ready to chop mine. I'm going to it a little different than most. I have acquired a body/carcass that has help keep two other amazons to stay on the road. So, I"m going to do all my fabing on it. This way if the chop does not go correctly I do not ruin my VERY clean straight '66. However, if it goes well than all will have to do is switch tops. Would love to see a pic or two of the interior area like the C pillar area.
Thank you |

Hi, you’ve revived a 2 1/2 year old thread and Roarr hasn’t been online in more than a year.
Good luck with the chop. |
