Have been running the Michelin CrossClimates only for a couple of days so very initial thoughts:

Very quiet and smooth. Nice handling, turn in feels more precise. Could be because they are new, and could feel smoother because they're only inflated to 36psi. I should inflate them to the Eco setting but I'm enjoying the comfortable ride at the moment!

Only negative at this point is the tread depth. Using a calibrated tread depth gauge, all the measurements I took were slightly below 7mm. (6.89-6.97mm) XCO mentioned his Pirelli Verdé all season tyres started with 8.8mm!

Driving down to Bordeaux region next week so might need to wait to test them in the wet!

Thumbs up

Just double checked that and Camskill site quotes 9.3mm not 8.8mm as I said ....Seems to be different tread depth for different rim sizes.

Pirelli Scorpion Verde AS here as well. At £112.50 a corner (price match Blackcircles), fully fitted from Micheldever, you really can't go wrong.

I really like the Michelins. Very smooth, handle nicely and felt fine in the 35C heat we had in France. Great in the wet too.

Just need to see how long they'll last now, and how they cope with snow if we get any. I'll never use those Nokia WR SUV3 again!

Good choice.....try 38 psi for starter's and see what you think......seems just about right to me for these tyres.

For info, Continental no longer manufacture the CrossContact 235/60/18 103V.

Other load indexes and speed ratings are available.
