Just ordered the new Nokian WR SUV3's to replace the pirelli scorpions on the front. Will report back on findings when the white stuff hits!

Do they have the three peak snowflake symbol? Are you planning on using them all year round?

thanks

They have a mountain peak with M&S written inside. In the USA they are classed as all season tyres apparently so I will run them all year round.

Sorry my error, there is a single snowflake inside a mountain symbol with three peaks and alongside this are the letters M&S. The tread is pretty chunky and I make it 9mm not your usual 8mm. I didn't realise they were made in Russia (thought they were Swedish for some reason!)but I guess they must know a thing or two about making tyres for cold weather conditions.

Found these today when looking for prices to replace my 2 fronts (down to 3mm):

Anyone any experience of using this supplier? Know the general grabbers get good rating

I had an absolute nightmare dealing with that company. They were by far the cheapest for the nokians I bought but they didn't honour the order price and cancelled 2hours after the order yet still took the money out of my account. Shortly afterwards they sent an email requesting my address and bank details claiming they couldn't refund back to a creditcard despite being able to take the money from it which was very odd, and I suspect they are a very dodgy company. It's been nearly three weeks and I still haven't had my refund so I am in the process of raising a claim through Mastercard to get it back.
They don't have a telephone line for contact and have offices based in Paris but ship from Germany apparently. The onine ticket support system is very hit and miss and you're lucky if you get a reply let alone one that ever makes sense. Several other customers have also posted similar experiences on the Trustpilot rating website that they use. They removed their British Facebook account shortly after my complaint as it was nothing but complaints on there!

In the end I used pneus-online and got them to price match tyreleaders price to within a few pound (just send them an email via the website, they got back to me in less than an hour!) and used topcashback to get another 3% on top. Also check out mytyres.com and oponeo for comparison of prices.

In short I would never recommend Tyreleader, a real bunch of Sh**ehawks.

PS - I highly recommend the Nokians, great wet performance so far and very quiet. Not had a snow test yet but they won all the German tests recently.

Hi,

Sorry to hear that the other poster had a bad experience with this tyre Company - all I can say is that my experience a few weeks back was absolutely fine.

I ordered 8 tyres from their web site... all Nokian's... 4 x Nokian WR A3's for the wifes car and 4 x Nokian WR G2's for my XC90.

Order went through fine, the wife's tyres arrived via DPD first within 48hrs and mine for the XC90 arrived also by DPD within 72hrs.

I did use their on-line ticket service to check that the WR G2's were definately on the way and received an reply back on my account within 2hrs of posting.

I checked the DOT dates on all tyres upon arrival and was pleased to learn they were manufactured in week 46 2013...so was not sent an old batch.

All-in-all, I saved myself a considerable amount of money compared to any other prices I managed to find on-line eleswhere for all 8 tyres....had them fitted locally for £8 per wheel....and after a few hundred miles can say I'm really pleased with my purchases...the wife even more so...she rates the WR A3's highly in terms of grip, a reduced ride noise and smoother ride quality.

I guess there wil always be good and bad experiences of consumers when shopping on-line...all I can say was mine was a good one when using TYRELEADER on this occassion.

Thanks

On further checking the company website has only been up and running since 29/11/13 so no long pedigree like the other sites I mentioned above. There are good and bad reviews as expected but a lot of the good ones seem suspiciously OTT. Just be careful and do it on the credit card so you have insurance cover.

I'd like to know where in Nottinghamshire fits tyres for £8 each? Not sure I believe that post is genuine.

If and when I order my tyres from tyreleader or anywhere else for that matter I will be putting it on my credit card, always do with any large value purchase (I even put my holiday deposit (to minimise the card fees) on my card as even a part payment towards a purchase over £100 gives you the same protection) I did have a look at the trustpilot reviews myself.

Don't know about the 'genuine-ness' of this post, or the cost of tyre fitting in Nottinghamshire, but got some partworns off ebay a few years back when I first purchased my '90 and paid £10 per tyre to have them fitted and balanced

To get back 'on topic' of the sticky does anybody have experience of the grabber AT's on their '90
