Default Oil sender unit.

With the new Simonz manifold fitted I find that the sender is very close and suspect that the cable will fry very quickly. I would like to fit an elbow adapter but don't know what the threading is. Any body know and where to find adapter?

Arcturus;

On the Oil Sender, it looks like you've already bent the male tab somewhat to help with clearance of the departing wire...I'd bend it a full 90 Degrees, to maximize clearance.

As an alternative, you could use the high temp silicone insulated wire from an O2 sensor, or procure a short length of high temp fire-sleeve to further protect the wire.

Cheers

Im going back a while but i recall it was.
The B18B fitted to the 1800 had a right angle brass fitting. Check in the parts book and it should provide the thread details

+1 on that. (Silicone insulated wire is readily available - used e.g. for wiring electric stoves.)

And how about using a 90 degree spade connector?

Simon;

+1 right back atcha on the 90 Deg crimp! That, in combination with silicon high temp insulation should be a good solution!
