Sounds a familiar story. We had a volvo, got written off. Settled for a VW Passat a the time due to the insurance money not being enough for a volvo and wife hated the VW. She says 'its an awful, clunky uncomfortable car'. 18 months later got rid and back in a volvo and we love it!

Hello I'm David 38yrs and I drive a Volvo D2 V40 R-Design and I used to love it until I started hearing a noise when depressing the clutch... I took it too volvo whom have diagnosed a release bearing fault but not willing to accept any liability as I am 7 months out with my warranty... shower of money grabbing cheap ****

Hello, I'm 44, and have driven 240 saloons with B230 since 2008. I've also had a 85' 360 that rusted away. It was a good, comfy and practical car, would much like to have one again.
I'm proud of only having had RWD cars (not counting a mistake I did in my youth, a Renault 5 I owned just a few days, the seller was kind and bought it back for the same price ). Not sure if I'll maintain my good record, I imagine a V70 being my next daily driver.
One thing I like about the Volvos I've had, is their good torque at lower rpms, for being petrol engines. The redblock engine suits me well. I don't like high rpm, and very seldom exceed 3000. Another thing, of course, I can do much of the work on the car myself, keeping the cost down.

Hi all. New here. In my mid 50's. Have owned a few Volvos. Had 3 240's the wife n kids hated. 2 sedans & 1 wagon. Plenty of parts then i had a 760 turbo that had the sunroof that was a fun car with great memories. Then a V70 the wife loved. Now a XC90 which i enjoy & is great in the winter New England snow
