Default New software glitch...?

Had an interesting experience yesterday that I'm guessing is a glitch (car had the recall done on Tuesday so should be on the latest software now).

I decided to call so used the voice control button on the steering wheel. Upon speaking their name the car advised me that it was calling them - then the radio came back on immediately, no apparent attempt was made for the call to be placed.
A little strange I thought, but I left it at that as I was then approaching a roundabout. About 2 minutes later I noticed that the rear fog light warning lamp was illuminated on the dashboard, so I decided to turn this off (bear in mind that this is pretty hard to activate unknowingly and I can't think of any way that I would have done so). As soon as I turned the rear fog off the radio muted and the phone started calling my friend!!

All a bit bizarre, albeit clearly a 1st world problem - just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same? I've not tried voice dialling against since, but may give it a go over the weekend just to see if I can get the issue to repeat itself.

I doubt that the software was updated other than the software mod for the EGR cooling mod during the recall work, (unless you asked for it to be done) I had my recall done and software was not updated.

my only thought is that you had somehow turned your rear fogs on, and the car decided that this must mean it wasn't safe to place the call. Might be interesting to try more deliberately to see if this is true!

it doesn't make any sense actually... to be honest it is completely ridiculous.

When collecting the car I was advised that it had taken 2 separate software patches (seem to recall reading on here previously that the recall meant that you got the latest engine & gearbox software, but perhaps I'm mistaken), but I've not checked the paperwork to see what it says.
I also paid for the intellisafe software upgrade as my car is MY16 (paid just over £40 as opposed to the RRP of £75), but can't see anything different in the menus to suggest that this was successfully deployed.
