Cool need help on volvo 65' 121 wagon spring set and shocks..

hi there..hope someone can help me out here...

i just bought a pair of bilstein B6 shocks front (B46-0283 Shock Absorber BILSTEIN - B6 SPORT - Top pin, Bottom Pin) and rear (B46-0293 Shock Absorber BILSTEIN - B6 SPORT - Top pin, Bottom Pin) for my estate.

the front fix perfectly BUT the back cannot be fitted as my original rear shocks is top eye, bottom eye . .

can someone tell me what went wrong here? did i buy the wrong rear shocks? did bilstein made a mistake?

also, i am looking for a lowering spring set for my estate. where can i buy it?

thanks in advance..

Sounds like the rear shocks are saloon ones.

You definatly have saloon shocks. There is no way you have estate ones as I'm sure bilstein don't make them.

I've has some special adjustable estate shocks made but other than those you are stuck with std ones or getting some custom dampers done.

Springs and shocks have been discussed a little here

http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=84922

For shocks I think the summary is 'call Gaz', or take a gamble with classicswede's mystery shocks. If you choose the latter let us know how it goes eh?

The link you have given does not work. Check the part number against the salone one. It should be totaly different. In any case the dampers you have been suppied are totaly wrong for the estate.

dear classicswede...

my problems still not solve yet. its been almost a month now. my ride still on the ram ....sigh..

..this the email to bilstein from the dealer,

"Thanks for the reply. As for the question of modification model, the inner part is not modified and is original. According to the workshop specialise in JB,malaysia.. all Volvo P122 Estate/ Wagon originally comes in 'ball/ball' type instead of 'pin/pin' type for the rear. Can pls do me a favour to double confirm it. Thanks."

..and this the reply from bilstein,

"Factory already confirmed that this is not so, as they are all these while supplying to 122 wagon in Europe and all along is pin to pin in Europe.

As we have no idea about the origin of your vehicle and if it has been modify, we are not able to comment on what is right."

is this right? can someone confirm? or is my car been modified before i took over the car? which is original, 'pin to pin' or eyeball to eyeball' ? can someone anyone can get a confirmation from your mechanics from your respective area(as in uk or europe)?

or do volvo supply differently to asia?
