Mine squeak. I'm not sure that my new ones are the same size as my old ones though and old ones squeaked a bit and the new ones (bosch) squeak a lot.
I think bosch quality is down compared to 2 years or so ago.

modified a few range rover's with a fine drill so you could inject oil around the spindle assembly . My sprinter takes great delight in destroying wiper boxes , so I drilled the plastic & injected silicone plumbers grease to keep water & gunk out .

I use plumbers gresae as it does not afffect plastic ! & is very thixotropic ( let you google that one ) a win all round

As for fibre washers , just search out your local hydraulics place or fastners supplier , dirt , dirt cheap
I prefer my fluids rheopectic!

I was interested to read that synovial fluid (in your knee joints and so forth) is rheopectic.

Just done mine with a fibre washer and it works a treat. This takes time and patience so that it fits right first time. What we need is for member of this forum, with access to a lathe, to produce some machined washers. I would willing pay a couple of quid for one.

Bet you didn't measure it once you got it to fit
Still got mine to do, what size did you start with?

Great idea , I tried looking for a washer came across a brass olive , 22mm couldn't find a 15mm , so I snipped it and closed it around the spline and bolted it, not as tidy as yours but works well so far , maybe a 15 mm and if I reduced the height it would be better on the plus side it's easy to adjust a brass olive with a plier type cutter.
I of course don't know if this wilI work long term or less as I am still learning.......
