Default 2005 V70 D5 Won't Start

Hi,

I'm having some trouble with the car at the moment. The other morning I went to the car and started the car up no problem. I then returned to the car approx. 30 mins later and it wouldn't start.

I had a problem a couple of months ago and got the RAC out and the guy was able to get it started by repeatedly turning the ignition on and off quickly and pumping the accelerator pedal. I've tried this to the best of my memory but to no avail.

Since then, I've tried spraying Easy Start directly into the intake and the car will start but then cuts out almost immediately.

I also bought a cheap fault reader from Euro Car Parts and it says there are no codes.

Any ideas what the issue could be? Thanks in advance.

How much fuel exactly is in the tank and is the car on level ground?

The fuel is low and the light is just about on, and it’s on level ground.

Put a good 15-20 litres in and try again.

Hi, thanks so far. I looked again and the red light isn’t on the fuel gauge. I put 5 litres in as that’s the capacity of my fuel canister.

Still didn’t start unfortunately and the battery is running low.

An anti-skid error messsge also appears.

Did you use Easy Start again like when you briefly got it running last time?
