rear tail light assembly
Hi all, our V60 has been reversed into a tree and now has a hole in the rear light assembly! Are there any instructions/diagrams/info about removing and replacing the whole assembly please? I am quite handy but I don't want to snap any brackets e.t.c. Any help gratefully received.

I posted the same question a few months back and didn't get a single reply unfortunately.
However I did get my rear light cluster replaced by a garage. They had to remove the rear bumper as (not very helpfully) there are mounting brackets under the bumper that aren't accessible. Whatever possessed Volvo to do that I don't know! Sorry I don't have any diagrams though.

Hi, I did a search before I posted and spotted your unanswered post. But I thought I would give it a try anyway.
I have looked for info on the internet but it seems there isn't any out there. It sounds like it might be a pain to sort out myself! Thanks for the reply. |

Probably not a massively time consuming thing for a garage to do though - I got charged £30 labour only.
Good luck!

Hi again and thanks. We had a price for the light of £209, and a fitting quote of £84. So I make that a total of £293 !
It might be just me being a bit cynical, but I get the impression Volvo have made such repairs as difficult to sort out as possible for the home mechanic for their own monetary gains!? What say anyone else? |

Well you can definitely knock at least £30 off the quote for the part if you use FRF Volvo in Swansea and quote C3 when ordering. Mine was only £175 if I recall. There is a link on my profile page.
