Default Bentley Volvo Gathering

For all of you who like me will have to travel south-east on Sunday June 18th to reach this fantastic event, be warned that day is the annual London - Brighton bike ride. For this they close the route going south from where it crosses the main A25 at Bletchingley all the way south. That means Smallfield, Copthorne, Turners Hill, Ardingly etc are not accessible to cars - even to locals.
A friend who lives in one of these villages and does shift-work as a baggage-handler at Gatwick Airport cannot get out so has to leave his car a mile away the night before and walk to it at 6am if on-shift!
Therefore when crossing this route, aim for a recognised crossing point - I know the A25 is one, and somewhere along the A272 near Haywards Heath, which is what I will aim for. Heaven help her if said friends wife decides to give birth again that day - even ambulances can't get across this "sacred" route - outrageous.
