Literally just finished doing it again. The hard bit can be the torx screws holding the electric actuator on the back of the caliper. I have changed the screws and the seal today on both of mine - Volvo part number 30681857 "service set" for one side - then wind in the actuator revealed clockwise (on both sides) using an allen key in a socket. Sorry, can't remember the exact sizes... When all is reassembled, cycle the parking brake button on/off three times and all is done. Simples

It works perfectly.

Or is a 2015's setup different?
These are the instructions that Volvo supplied with the brake pads and is what broke them. Will never do that again, 9V battery next time.

Still don't understand what your problem is using VIDA? Took about 10 second when I did it a few years back, on the same car as well. I'm wondering if VOlvo did a software update on the car and it is now not compatible with my version of VIDA.

Found a brilliant independent garage that reset them for 44gbp, so we are now not scrapping the car.
