Tft display

I have a 2013 s60 business edition d3.new shape.
I was looking on eBay and noticed the tft display that is on some s60s.
My question is does this newer display simply swap for my current analogue display?
And also does the v40 tft model swap over?
Thanks I have been searching but can't find the answer.

Do you mean the dashboard display? I don't see it for MY2013 s60, so possibly not much use to you, but if yours is actually a MY2014 s60 it looks like a straight swap plus a software install. Even available as an accessory kit:

Thanks that's what I meant.
Would a second hand part fit without the software or is this necessary for it to function?
Also the vida software is this only available at dealerships?

It needs to be programmed, although some seem to have luck and got it working from second hand units?

We've fitted then brand new for around £300 plus vat, took less than an hour!

Unless prices have gone up since august they are surprisingly reasonable

Thanks for the reply. I've purchased a second hand item from eBay and was going to chance my luck and see if it works.
Quick queery though.
Does the battery need disconnected whilst the Speedo is swapped? As I see on the installation diagram online it seems turning ignition off is sufficient.

Are you saying that you have the older analogue style dash and want to replace it with a newer tft dash?

It's the analogue yes but not the one with 2 dials. My car was registered at the end of 2013 and the different tft Speedo seems to have been an optional extra for it.

Never worked Unfortunately.
Does anyone know how much it would be to have it programmed at the dealer?
Also on the instalation instructions it says not to reuse the connector from the old clock and says fit part that comes with accessory. Anyone know what that is?

Hi if you do a search on YouTube for Volvo digital dash there are a couple of videos of this swop and they appear to have had no trouble . May be worth a look?
