Need help with pin out of junction connector
Hi all!
Been quite busy getting on with the Volvo wagon recently! I'm looking to remove the Ecu wiring from the car as I will be having a Link Ecu fitted at some point soon with fresh loom. In the drivers footwell there is a large yellow junction box with multiple connectors fitted, It would be amazingly brilliant if I can get these wires identified. I have checked the greenbook and I cannot seem to identify which reference it is, maybe C3 reference? Any help would be much appreciated chaps! Cheers Roger88 20201001_163648_resize_48.jpg Sorry for picture size by the way! |

Hi,
Apologies I forgot to mention its a 1998 Volvo 940 Celebration 2.3 turbo estate with the B230FK engine. The car still has same engine but now running a 16v head on Penta timing belt and tensioner with lots of other goodies. It will be on a Link G4+ Ecu with a custom loom. Pretty much I want to remove the engine harness and ECU loom and have a custom one done for the car. All I need is a pinout for this yellow junction box connector and it will make my job 10x easier. Cheers Roger88 |

That´s a problem, because it´s specific for 96-98 models and I never found wiring diagram for these.
Same connectors are also used in x70 models, but pinouts are different...

Yeah all I can find is the greenbook for 1995 but I just presumed maybe nothing else was changed after 1995 to 1998 production.
But if anyone does know or could point me in the right direction that would be brilliant. cheers Roger88 |

In that case, fill your boots! Don't forget the ignition ECU as well........... *** EDIT *** just spotted the comments above about 96-98 being different to 95 models, first i've known about that but never mind, you'll have to do it the old fashioned way instead. I think you might be better making a small conversion loom so the new ECU plugs into where the fuel and ignition ECUs lived. For a start, it would be easier to put back to standard if you ever needed to, secondly it's almost certainly easier than trying to figure out those connections that are mixed with countless others.
