Default Cleaning the Throttle Body on T5 Engine

Can someone reassure me that it is possible to use CRC throttle body cleaner on my V70 XC (Turbo engine). CRC YouTube guide states that the product should not be used on Turbo Engines. Also is the T.B. on this engine electronic (fly by wire) or an analogue linkage system. If it is the former, then I understand the butterfly valve must only be opened using the accelerator while engine is off, or else resulting in damaged gears in the T.B. and destination F@#$ed.

No follow up from anyone, so proving response myself. After consulting with my Euro mechanic, he recommends not to try to clean the throttle body, as the cleaner is quite acidic and can easily damage the body if it gets past the butterfly valve and it can often destroy the whole body and require a very expensive replacement. He experienced this early in his career, and after several destroyed units he refused to clean the TB valve from there on.

do you have a specific need to want to clean it, or is this just a general maintenance query

When i`ve cleaned the T/B on my T5 in the past I`ve used an Injection System Cleaner (same as i used on injectors) and used a soft cloth and cotton buds. With the T/B off the car it`s possible to clean both sides of the butterfly valve without moving it. I`ve had no issues to date.

Have to replace the MAF, so was thinking an ideal time to do a clean of the TB at the same time. Also Car has just hit 100,000 km and 19 years old, so doing a significant service at this time.
