Default MAP Sensor

Hi Guys

I've got a 2009 C30 D5 and Codes

P2227 BARO Sensor
P0069 Manifold Absolute Pressure

I'm pretty sure it's a MAP Sensor Issue, which keeps the Engine Management light on

It faled it's MOT becasue of this and am now looking at changing the MAP Sensor

Can anybody identify the location for me and whether the Bosch one from eBay @ £35 will do the job? Or do I have to buy genuine @ ££££ ???

OR.....is there a work around???

Bumper off, located on the right hand side when facing the front of the car.
Bosch are the manufacturers of them so it's up to you whether you want Volvo to rodger your wallet!

Hi,

I did mine last year with some help from the guys on here. If you haven't done it already, once the bumper is off it's pretty much behind the right foglight( right looking at the front of the car, left if you're sitting in it) and easy to see. I used a Bosch sensor from eBay with no problems.

Sorry buddy, missed this post.
By now you've probably got it sorted but for anyone else, it inserts into the intercooler on the left hand side (right hand if facing the engine).
