Major BSR / Rica PPC issue

I know there is a post elsewhere on the forum, but this issue really only affects "tuned" cars.

If you own a PPC up-loader unit and bought it a while ago, BSR have changed the terms of use, and will now charge you to maintain the functionality you were sold as an ongoing free service when you originally bought the unit.

Rica plan to completely cripple this service on their unit from late 2010, requiring you to further spend £100 just to keep what you purchased in the first place.

It would appear that what BSR and Rica are doing may well be breaking various UK consumer protection laws.

From the evidence so far....

Rica ALWAYS intended to kill the BSR based PPC (which was only brought out as an interim solution till they had their own unit running) unit once the Rica "softloader" was functional.

Rica knowingly sold a service they knew full well that they were unable to support. (If they do as they say and kill it late this year).
