Hi I think I did read that the xc70 have different length shocks to the v70/s60,
I have just changed my front shocks/struts with koni sports adjustable,
my car has done 84,000miles, the original shocks had no oil leaks but when I drilled in to them no gas came out, and on a push down test they only just moved up very slowly, when I fitted front subframe poly inserts I could feel the road more, but after fitting the konis the drive is now very smooth but very firm, as these are sport shocks, and not as much roll, but I do have lowered springs, and the car chassis is fitted with ultra racing braces all round, I also read a lot have changed there shocks at this mileage,

With the wishbone/lower control arms, you only need to change if the bushes are gone, or wish to fit poly bushes as a up grade, like I am going to one day,
Dave

The eBay link is standard ride height absorbers, XC70 has increased ride height.

I use and swear by Lubegard (how they spell it on the box in front of me) in the red bottle. The product number on the 10 oz. bottle is 60902. It also comes in quarts.
My 2002's transmission had 2 small hiccoughs. It's what made the original owner (who ordered the car special) sell it.
A TCM download helped a lot as did the LubeGard. I was amazed.
The dosage is 1 ounce per system quart.
This company has other products so don't blindly click if buying online.

Ty for the opinions.

The shocks on the link say for the XC so i guess are the right ones, the only thing that made me suspicious was mine have a red label this have white...i know its not conclusive but.....

About the additive mine when on traffic when i stop , after being hot, there is like a trying to engage first gear and you feel like you have been hit from behind like shifting without pressing the clutch completely (i have geotronic..its the only way i can explain) . if im going on manual it doesn't do anything so i though give it a go....
Many thanks
