I've been running Pirelli P-Zeros with the PNCS on 20" rims. Car approaching 27k miles and fronts only just ready for replacement. The rears have another 10k in them I reckon.
No noise issues, seem great in the wet and never had any problems in the snow last year. Just about to hit the button on 2 new ones at £170 each. Was seriously tempted to try cross-climates, but seemed a no-brainer to continue with the P-Zeros. Never had more than 18k out of a pair of tyres on driven wheels in 20+ years. Big thumbs up for P Zero from me.

Sounds very promising.
Could you please post the complete tyre spec - were they all season or pure summer tyres? |

Picked up my.V90 CC T5 on Tuesday and it’s come with Continental EcoContact 5 tyres. Seems like there is a bit of variety in what you receive.

When we had the heavy snow early this year I misjudged the speed it was coming down and ended up driving when it got heavy, honestly you did not even know you were driving in a few inches of compacted snow, you could see other cars sliding etc but sticking to a steady speed they were fantastic. only way I would make them slip was basically being an idiot when I got to a car park and trying to make it skid. Not in the snow they are absolutely fine, you have to remember that in an xc60 cornering fast is not really a thing although being 28 and coming from a A Fiesta I probably push it more than most and they have yet to let me down. Quieter than the Pirelli’s and seem to be wearing well, I would buy them again without hesitation, one thing I did notice is the pricing is so variable, I know that is true of all tyres but I brought mine through ATS when they had a promo for something like £50 off and free dash cam, some places were over £100 more for 4 tyres. |
