help with 1985 handbrake
my 740 snapped the drivers side handbrake cable few days ago and i purchase new one from euro car parts.
the cable is the right length but the end that joins at the centre of the axle is not right, but all the rest of cables are the same too at any shop?? strange i need to get the little pivot part in the cable and lock as the old one is too short now with the cable end being wider than the original. cable in temporary fitted till i find this new piece, but the handbrake does nothing at all. not even a bite on the rear discs at all?? can anyone please tell me what i have done wrong. changed many cables, brakes etc in my time, but this has got me stuck?? many thanks. |
