Default Fuel pump relay

Are there any differences between the green and red coloured 103 fuel pump relays? Both have the same pin numbers and 12volts.

The green one has part number 9434138 with 898769000 and the red one has part number 9434225 with 898797000.

Do they fit both the 850 and V70s with turbo engines?

I would say if the PIN numbers are in the same location and correct orientation it should work as intended

9434225 appears to replace 9434138. Assuming the internal relay is the same, perhaps the electrolytic caps were uprated - but I honestly have no idea.

Thanks 4x4 and rabbituk for your replies. I'll see about getting a new OEM one from say Caffyns first before going down the ebay route, which is where I've seen green and red relays for sale. Want one to keep as a spare.

Quote your chassis number to Caffyns to reduce the risk of getting the wrong one.

I use this site. Put in a part number and it will tell you of any supersessions

https://www.volvopartswebstore.com/p...2/9434138.html

Also useful for parts digrams.

Hope that helps,
Steve
