Car pulls to the right
My V40 pulls slightly to the right when driving (probably alignment issue).
However when accelerating this becomes much worse. When pressing the clutch it becomes less. Is it normal that the pulling to the right becomes worse under load? |

If the geometry is out of alignment then the car can behave in a whole manner of ways. Have a four wheel alignment done, if you haven't done so recently, and see how it drives afterwards. A lot of people are amazed at how the car drives after this is done.
Yours being a LHD and driving on the right hand side, are you taking the camber of the road in consideration?

I know about the road camber.
I will check the alignment. But why is the pulling to the right worse when accelerating and less when cluth pressed? |

Tyres are ok.
But what about the fact that the pulling is worse under load. Is that normal if there is some misalignment? |

Possibly...you won't know until you have the alignment done.
Before they carry out the alignment have them check the lower control arm (wishbone) bushings for play.

I had the exact same problem with a previous car. Took me quite a while to eliminate other things it could have been - after having alignment checked and several bushes and the anti roll bar link (Is that the right term?) replaced at MOT, it got really bad in a matter of a few days and was unsafe to drive over 40mph - it was like the car was drunk and had a mind of its own and quite frightening. My brother used a bar to see if there was play in the ball joint and there was (it was the passenger side and it was pulling right when accelerating). Once replaced it was good as new and the parts weren't that expensive. Now having the exact same problem as you with my V40 XS, but its only just noticable and worse when cornering - worse since it has anti roll bar link (thingy) replaced a week ago - have to correct where its going on bends sometimes. No help to you but it would be good to find out if this is what your problem turns out before I go back to the garage again and ask them to look at it.
