'55 Volvo S60 D5 SE geartronic
Here for sale is a fabulous 2005 S60 D5 geartronic 185 BHP. The D5 is one of the greatest diesel engines ever built - sounds wonderful with it's 5 cylinder growl - these lumps are capable of huge mileages (a neighbour has a XC70 with over 300,000 on his!) We have owned this car for 3 yrs clocking up over 50,000 trouble free miles. We are only selling it as my wife no longer does a commute for work.
It comes with FULL Volvo (main agent and top independant history). 12 months MOT and just short of six months of tax - it is good to go - no money has been spared in running this much loved car! Features, 12 Months MOT, Tax until the end of Sept, 79,000 warranted miles from new, Finished in beautiful Barrants Blue Pearl paint, 18 inch alloys, Full black leather seats, Heated front seats, Electric with 3 memory settings on the drivers seat, Cruise control, Rain sensitive wipers, Full Volvo winter pack - Fitted carpet over mats and mud flaps, 6 CD in dash changer, Remote central locking, Electric windows all round. There is a couple of age/mileage marks on the car - the worst of which are on the rear bumper where someone reversed into it in a workplace car park, but didn't leave any details, this could be sorted using someone like 'Chips away' smart repair type of place, pretty cheaply. The front wheels could do with being refurbed. All of this is me being picky - remember this car has done 79,000 miles and isn't brand new! It is heavy heart we offer this fantastic car for sale The private plate is not included in any sale. PM me for any more details Price £5,500 ono |

It's a lovely motor, and I'd have it off you, as and when my VRS sells. Difficult times out there at the moment it seems

I know from personal experience how hard it is to sell these things for what seems to be a pair price to yourself. Nobody seems to want these things for some reason. If you want rid of it, you may have to drop the price down to nearer £4k for it to spark any interest.

Hi Brooklands,
To put this into perspective, I've just picked up a well-worn but honest (I hope) 97k miles S80 D5 on a 54 plate for 3.5k from an independent dealer; it's SE spec with the winter pack so similar spec to yours but is not the same condition. Thought this might help with your pricing perspective. |
