V70: Stereo/SatNav/Phone - tv - digital or not?

Hi!! a rally sad question - i've got a 2002 V70 with sat nav/tv.

The tv seems to get BBC1, 2, ITV C4 and 5 - i've never bothered to re-tune.

Am i right in assuming come the digital switch-over it wont work anymore?

Or is there some super software upgrade available??

Assume also cant stick dvd's in the system - as temporary replacement to sat nav disc.

And while im on, i was told i can load 3 (or 4?) cd's into the head unit - as it's not just a single disc player - i tentatively tried another cd with one already in, and the head unit didnt seem 'willing' to accept it!!

ps - i find my 144 a lot simpler!!

What make of head unit are you using as some work with digital and others don't, if its got a TV receiver in it then I am very surprised it won't play a DVD - Mike

In 2002 both the HU603 and HU803 were fitted to V70 SE models , the 603 takes one CD and and the 803 takes 4 CDs in the head unit . There was also an option for a 10 CD autochanger which could be controlled by either the 603 or 803 and was fitted in the cargo area .

Hi, sorry to say when the switch over occurs you will have no TV, contact me when the time comes if you would like to upgrade to digital though. Peter
