Just to help ...previously mentioned about Weber antivibration mounts ...this is basically to stop the fuel from frothing and that is all...

The brass lever that is bent to adjust the float level can get worn with flats on and also the brass pin that holds it in the body can get a flat on and make the lever stick down so the float will not turn off the valve.

Also where the fuel overflows out the hole on top of the cover i was misled once and in fact it was the worn rubber hose with the clip that let it leak when under a bit of pressure when the float shut off the flow!
