Default Aftermarket Wheel Trims

I think this has been asked before but I can't find the thread. Does anyone know if these beauty rings will fit the E and ES wheels? They look very similar to the original design and are 15". Be a cheap way to replicate the original look if they do fit and stay on.

Well getting no response I decided to risk a set. Yes they fit and they are hard to tell apart from the original rings. Pic 1 is original ring fitted. Pic 2 is the aftermarket one fitted.

I intended to reply to you Mike but completely forgot, sorry!

Yes, I had a set of 'Ebay plastic chrome beauty rings' on my ES for years before I managed to find a set of pristine, undamaged original ones from someone who had removed them from his ES in 1973 in case they got damaged. He found them in his garage over 30 years later and I got them for £40!

The plastic ones were excellent, fitted well, stayed tight and always looked great, in fact my ES won trophies at local car shows and at both VOC National and Enthusiasts Club events whilst wearing them and nobody ever noticed!

Great story Paul, I love it when no one notices a 'cheat' on your car. Mind you I'd still have an original set if they weren't such a daft price.

I think they are very easy to spot - the press tool dont make the edge sharp enough, and the side is curved - not flat like the original.
