I did think about doing them both in he first place but my mechanic said doing one was fine as the O/S one was in good condition but thinking about it sensibly the one with 103k on it is bound to be weaker that a brand new one. Only good news is I got the tracking done for free.

hub to wishbone ball joints could be worn out , broken strut spring .
sure if your MOT station has a 4 post ramp with shaker plates fitted they would find it quickly.

At least then we'll know they are both 100% After that I aint got a clue !!!
That will be because of differences in the wear.
I had similar 'fun' with my XC90 - LHS arm replaced a while ago because it was creaking, but car pulling to left under braking, especially noticeable when heavy or towing.
Changed the RHS arm last week, now cured.
In my case both aftermarket arms (with both bushes) from GSF with their weekend discount at around £70.
I also changed the ball-joints as they were seized into the arm - even heat and a sledgehammer couldn't get them out!

O/S wishbone has now been replaced and I'm please to say that everything is perfect again. N/S both bushes were shagged but the O/S seemed ok apparently. My mechanic still doesn't think you should have to replace in pairs but to my thinking this kinda proves that you should.

ALWAYS replace suspension, steering or brake parts in pairs.
