It is relatively easy to apply and difficult to mess up, so go for it, you will be pleasantly surprised. As Mark1Stu found, less is more and it is easy to apply a little more colourant, but difficult to remove.

An alternative is colourant supplied by www.dynamixdyes.com they are based in Northern Ireland and supply a water based colour matched to the Volvo upholstery colour code. I have used it on both Volvos to cover minor wear and is just dabbed on with the sponge supplied. The colour match is perfect and very, very easy to use.

If your leather is badly worn it may be best to use the Woolies kit which is more 'heavy duty' however, what you want to avoid is the 'Dowager Duchess' look who has ladled the make up on to cover the natural creases and lines.

Thanks for the link. I will give it some thought as the seats are just starting to look a bit aged. Might be a job to do in the winter lay up.

I’ve also used Woollies for a complete leather colour change on a ’54 Riley RM together with their Vinyl paint--- Recommended.
The following company is also very helpful so I have agreed to call over as they are not far away to have a seat colour matched for a V70.

This is a thread I’ll be following. My C70 has the orange leather but it’s long past it’s best and I’m looking to pick up a grey interior to dye black.

Unless the grey interior is in exceptional condition and at a knock down price, I wouldn't recommend trying to change the colour. Far better to buy an interior in the colour you want and then lightly re-furbish that. It will be a much better, longer lasting result.

Been looking for a long time and yet to see a black interior come up for sale
